COACHING OPPORTUNITIES:

Mount Snow Academy (MSA), a winter term ski academy in southern Vermont, is seeking full-time alpine race coaches for the 2018-19 season.

For over 35 years, MSA has been providing an elite ski racing experience with a strong focus on goal setting and athletic achievement, while instilling strong values in each of our student-athletes (U12 through U19.) Over the past two years, our program has more than doubled, with the addition of an expanding ski academy, weekend programming and strong partnerships with our home training venues of Mount Snow and The Hermitage Club.

We are seeking Certified Coaches (USS&S 100 or higher) who possess a strong technical background, effective coaching style and love working with kids. Five and six month positions are available in U16 and U19 age groups.

Interested candidates should contact Todd Ormiston, MSA Head of School; tormiston@mountsnowacademy.org or Peter Stokloza MSA Alpine Program Technical Director pstokloza@mountsnowacademy.org cell-603-728-8043

VOLUNTEERS WANTED!

We are extending to you a special invitation to volunteer as a Key individual to support the US Alpine National Championship on March 22-26, 2019.   We will also be hosting the US Alpine Jr. National Championships from March 27 – 29, 2019 if you are interested.

As a Key volunteer we anticipate using your unique skills, experience, and knowledge to fill key roles and help us lead and guide volunteers during the event.  If you think you may be interested, please follow this link to Register as a volunteer for the US Alpine National Championships.

Registering does not obligate you in any way, it is simply a way for us to get you into the system, so we can begin matching you with possible positions according to your preferences and experience. Also, once you are registered you will begin to receive occasional updates on the organization of the event and become as involved as you would like to be in the organization of the event, including volunteer selection for those roles you may be leading.  Our intent is to have Key Roles selected in early December 2018.

NEW TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES? If you know of changes or additions to this list, please email our Webmaster to let us know.

Waterville Valley, NH: WVBBTS MASTERS TRAINING

Our Masters program is fully-integrated into the BBTS program. This means dedicated training venues, coaching, and use of our entire infrastructure – video, timing, club facilities and events. In large part due to our strong collaborative relationship with Waterville Valley, we can offer what I believe to be unequalled training opportunities in the East. Masters get prime training lanes, morning and afternoon training sessions, and a full spectrum of technical and tactical coaching. While there are many opportunities to ‘bash plastic’, for those that are looking for a really comprehensive development environment, we have world-class venues, facilities, coaching and camaraderie. Our goal is quite simply to help every athlete be the very best they can be. For 2018/19, there are two levels of membership:

  • Full Masters program : $2,916 gets unlimited access to (18) weekends, holidays, and our annual Masters camp in early January
  • Masters 10-Pack: $1,194 for those who might be more actively racing on the Sise Cup circuit, we do offer a reduced-cost membership, limited to 10 on-snow days training with us at WV.
